Community Children’s Shelter & Family Service Center….
A 24-hour temporary residential safe place for up to 12 children from birth through 18 years of age who are at risk and need refuge due to neglect, abuse, abandonment, or are in need of supervision.
Behavioral Health Outpatient Services – Children, youth, and family counseling offered on a regular or intensive basis on site, at home, in school or in a community setting.
Prevention Services – Providing short term educational services for children, youth, and families for identifying and promoting positive behaviors.
Family Resource Program – Home-based services to expectant or first time parents.
14 Hour Group Educational Services – Service geared for youth at risk of delinquency, and their parents/guardians.
Education Programs – Dare to be You, Life Skills Classes, Parenting Classes, Tutoring & Mentoring, Tobacco education.
Intervention Services – A well planned procedure based on case management or counseling theory that is facilitated by trained professionals to decrease effects of a current issue or client centered problem.

Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation - Funded through the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust and partnered with Carter County Tobacco Use Prevention and SWAT; free professional quit coaching through Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline, 1-800-QuitNow; free Chantix to eligible adults. Location: The Community Children’s Shelter & Family Service Center is located at 15 Monroe Street NE, in Ardmore, (580) 226-1838. To serve families in surrounding communities, we offer outreach services in Love, Carter and Murray counties.
Fees – There are no fees for shelter residential services or counseling services and programs.
Once eligibility is determined, no one will be denied services for refusal or inability to pay.
Hours – The shelter and prevention offices are open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Shelter services are available 24 hours a day by calling (580) 226-1838. Counseling services are available after hours by prior arrangements.
